Data Deletion Policy

Effective Date: August 8, 2026

Origram accounts are created by schools and colleges, not by individuals. That shapes how deletion works: your institution holds your record, so it is the fastest and usually the correct route. You can also write to us directly and we will act on the institution’s instruction.

Your right to deletion

You may ask us to delete your personal data at any time. This page explains how to ask, what happens, and what cannot be deleted — honestly, including the parts you may not want to hear.

How to request deletion

1. Ask your institution (fastest)

Your school or college administers the account and holds the record. Its office can correct or remove your data directly, and does not need to wait for us.

2. Or write to us

Email developer@origram.in with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”, including:

We use those details only to confirm the request is genuinely yours. If you are a parent or guardian asking on behalf of a child, say so and name the student.

There is no in-app delete button. Accounts belong to the institution that issued them, so deletion is requested through one of the two routes above rather than from a menu inside the app. We would rather say so plainly than point you at a screen that does not exist.

What gets deleted

What cannot be deleted, and why

Origram is an ERP, so most of what it holds is your institution’s official record of you. We cannot erase an institution’s records on your behalf, and it may be legally obliged to keep them.

To have those removed you must ask the institution, and it can only remove them where the law allows.

Timeline

What happens to your access

Deleting your data ends your ability to use Origram at that institution. You will lose access to your timetable, results, library account and submissions in the app. Your institution will tell you what that means for your enrolment — deletion of app data does not by itself withdraw you from a course.

Third parties

Where data has reached a processor listed in our Privacy Policy, we will pass on your deletion request. We cannot guarantee the actions of a third party, and regulated processors such as Razorpay have retention duties of their own.
